Realized this myself a few years earlier because some folks from my school days reconnected with me. In the past, I wouldn’t have really thought of reconnecting, but present me had a pleasant experience and we’ve all grown up in a way that aligns.
I think that's what makes reconnecting so interesting. Time changes all of us in ways we don't always notice until we meet again. Sometimes the people are the same, but the versions of ourselves aren't.
